Primary bone cancer is a rare and aggressive disease. Two of the most common forms of the disease tend to particularly affect children and young people,  accounting for 4% of all childhood cancers. Sadly, at the present time, the outcomes for primary bone cancer are significantly lower than those for other cancer types. This is why the work of the Bone Cancer Research Trust is so vital.

As well as offering support to sufferers and raising awareness of the disease, the charity is at the forefront of championing and facilitating pioneering research to improve treatments, working towards better and more positive outcomes. This is all done in the hope that less families in future will have to go through such a terrible loss.
