Safi was full of joy. She was clever, kind and beautiful with a razor-sharp wit, always making everyone around her laugh. She loved Taylor Swift and watching Friends. Her favourite colour was yellow because it was happy, like the sun.
She was incredibly creative and once even composed her own song, drawing the animations to go with it to turn it into a little music video. She loved experimenting with makeup and was a pro at giving a glamourous make-over to anyone.

Safi was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2021 when she was just 11. Despite enduring continuous gruelling treatment during the two and half years that she was ill, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy and several complex surgeries, she kept her quirky sense of humour throughout. She rarely complained, even though she was in terrible pain for much of the time.
She had such a happy, strong and independent spirit and the world has lost such a special girl and a beautiful soul. If you would like to make a donation to Bone Cancer Research in her memory, to help fund vital research to fight this disease, please visit her donation page.
